Satellite radar remote sensing has evolved from a specialized measurement technique to a powerful decision-support technology. However, a critical gap persists between what we can measure from space and the decisions society must make regarding infrastructure risk, disaster response, and environmental management.
In this seminar, Professor Pietro Milillo from the University of Houston—where he directs the Remote Sensing and Digital Engineering Laboratory—examines the entire process, from data to decisions, through three complementary perspectives: the forward process, the compressed process, and the inverse process.
